Nathan Buck

Nathan Buck is an accomplished filmmaker and producer with a diverse career spanning feature films, documentaries, and video content creation. He began his journey in London as a producer’s assistant and production manager before founding EPIK, a film/TV marketing company working with clients such as BBC Films and Channel 4, and Super 8 Rushes, a small-format film services company specializing in live concert films, including "White Stripes: Under Blackpool Lights".

Transitioning to documentary filmmaking in the early 2000s, Nathan produced and directed his first feature documentary, "Real Gone! Dance", in 2008. From 2011 to 2013, he produced over 350 video segments for About.com, including travel series shot across Japan and Africa. His 2013 film "Extra Vivid", featuring dancer Megumi Eda and choreographer Karole Armitage, premiered at the Armitage Gone! Dance Gala and screened at the American Dance Festival.

In 2015, Nathan served as Filmmaker-In-Residence at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, mentoring young filmmakers. Later, he founded City Video in New York City, specializing in video content for small businesses.

Since 2018, Nathan has been based in Berlin, Germany, where he co-founded Bearlift Films GmbH with producer Christina Mallet. Their first narrative feature film, "Under Spanish Skies", premiered in 2022 at the Boston International Film Festival, earning the "Indie Award for Excellence in Filmmaking".
